Unity Technologies Corporation was originally founded in 2006 by Joseph L. Dorsey as a Physical Security technology consultancy. The company provided security technology consulting solutions to clients operating world class central stations and video centric security systems monitoring centers. UnityTec was set aside as Mr. Dorsey then joined forces with another prime contractor to develop and launch a supply chain logistics system to provide spare, repair and sustainment parts to the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle program domestically and overseas in combat theatre.
In 2013, Unity Technologies was once again reinvented with a focus on providing superior professional services in a broad range of technical and administrative categories to the Department of Defense as a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB), with Sara Lesley Dorsey resuming her career in Operations Management, acquiring majority ownership of the company and assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer. UnityTec’s Senior Leadership consists of industry experts including executives recently retired from major defense contracting companies and Government Agencies including the US Army, US Navy, NSA, Department of Homeland Security and the US Air Force. Unity Technologies is also backed by a team of investors ready to provide financial support and any level required in order to ensure the success of its programs.
In 2018, UnityTec finalized and received approval the the SBA for entering a Mentor-Protege Partnership to provide considerable resources and guidance by the Mentor firm Defense Government Contracting International (DGCI). This partnership has provide for a significant expansion of UnityTec capability, teaming options, and an infusion of capital for advancement in our modernization and analytics verticals.
